What are the classifications of rubber gaskets?

Rubber gaskets are widely used in automobile, electronics, chemical industry, antistatic, flame retardant, food, machinery and other industries, can play the role of gasket, seal, buffer and so on. So what are the classifications of rubber gaskets? The main products used in general industry are: silica gel pad, nitrile rubber pad, fluorine rubber pad, other rubber pads.

Then, a brief introduction to the performance of various gaskets:

silicon rubber

It has excellent resistance to high temperature and low temperature. It has good elasticity, ozone resistance and weather resistance in the temperature range of -70 - +260 - centigrade. It should be used as sealing gasket in thermal machinery. Non-toxic can be made insulation, insulation products and medical rubber products. At the same time, waterproof, flame retardant, high temperature resistance, electrical conductivity, wear resistance, oil resistance and other excellent performance, widely used in machinery, electronics, plumbing and other industries.

Nitrile butadiene rubber

NBR (Nitrile-Butadiene Rubber) is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile by emulsion copolymerization. It is known for its excellent oil resistance, and also has good wear resistance, aging resistance and air tightness. So it is widely used in rubber industry.

Fluoro rubber

It has high temperature resistance, can be used in -20 - +200 - C environment, strong oxidizing agent, oil - resistant, acid - resistant alkali. Usually used in high temperature, high vacuum and high pressure environment, it is also suitable for oil environment. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical, aviation, aerospace and other departments.

NBR, SBR, CR, EPDM and other rubber gasket has oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance, heat aging resistance, sealing gasket is directly cut into various shapes, widely used in medicine, electronics, chemical, antistatic, flame retardant, food and other industries.

Silicone rubber gasket (WMQ)

It has excellent resistance to high temperature and low temperature, and keeps good use in -70 - +260 - centigrade temperature range

Nitrile rubber gasket (NBR): a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile by emulsion copolymerization. Nitrile rubber gaskets are known for their excellent oil resistance (but not resistant to ketones, esters and chlorinated hydrocarbons).

Fluorine rubber gasket

Because of its excellent properties, fluorine rubber is widely used in petroleum, chemical, aviation, aerospace and other sectors.
